We are looking for a part-time Research Assistant/Academic Associate/Assistant Lecturer. The ideal candidate will be a Masters or PhD/LLD student at the University of Pretoria who can work 25 hours per week (20 hours a week for international students) to assist with research, writing, teaching/tutoring, organising events and research group administration.
The responsibilities will include:
- Research assistance
- Writing email updates about research group activities for distribution
- organising meetings, seminars and other research events, including scheduling rooms, ordering catering, preparing materials and advertising events
- Assisting with organising travel logistics for research group members, attending conferences or meetings
- General office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing documents and reports using various software programs.
- Teaching assistance
- Marking of scripts
- Etc.
